The Schoolcraft Film Challenge 2026 is a filmmaking competition hosted by Schoolcraft College. The 48 hour film contest challenges teams to write, shoot, and edit an original short film in 48 hours. The competition begins on Friday, June 5th, 2026 at 7:00 PM and runs through Sunday, June 7th, 2026 at 6:00 PM, giving participants a limited but exciting window to bring their creative ideas to life. At the kickoff event streamed on YouTube, teams are given their requirements needed in their film, then the timer starts! Throughout the weekend, participants collaborate using their equipment, crew, and creativity to produce a short film under seven minutes. After the 48 hours are up, there will be a public screening where winners are determined and announced.
